Novotel Amsterdam City has 610 rooms and 1,300 m² of meeting space spread across 20 rooms. As a Conference & Event Coordinator, you and your team are responsible for our Convention Center bookings and, to some extent, room reservations as well.

Job Description

Are you looking for a management internship and do you have a strong passion for F&B? Then this might be the perfect internship for you! Novotel Amsterdam City is looking for an F&B Management Intern.

Novotel Amsterdam City is one of the largest 4-star hotels in the Benelux. We have 610 rooms, 17 meeting rooms, and a large restaurant that can serve up to 350 guests. We offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, and room service. Additionally, we have a cozy bar where our guests can enjoy a drink.

During this internship, you will learn a lot about both the operational and non-operational aspects of F&B:

• Leading the restaurant and bar staff by assigning tasks;

• Guiding, motivating, and inspiring the team;

• Providing support on the floor;

• Assisting guests in a correct and hospitable manner;

• Financial administration and purchasing;

• Creating staff schedules;

• Supporting the F&B Manager with various projects.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

• You have an excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written;
• You are flexible with your working hours (morning or evening shifts);
• You have your own transport or live in the Amsterdam area;
• You are well-presented, communicative, and socially skilled;
• You are accurate, quality-minded, and capable of overseeing your own and your colleagues’ work from a helicopter view;
• Customer focus, commercial insight, and stress resistance are second nature to you!

• As an intern, you will receive a gross compensation of €750 per month based on a 38-hour workweek, including thesis time;
