Based on our growth at Turner & Townsend, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Officer to support the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources department. The HR Officer will play a key role in implementing HR policies, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and internal procedures. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture. The role covers a wide range of HR responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity to broaden your expertise and grow your career in Human Resources.
Maintain and update employee records in HR systems and databases
Support onboarding (incl. Mobility cases) and offboarding processes
Administer employee benefits and respond to related inquiries
Handle employee relations issues and escalate when necessary
Prepare HR documents such as employment contracts, letters, and reports
Support payroll and salary reviews and processing by providing relevant employee information
Ensure compliance with absence management
Support our foreign new starters in getting required registrations and paperwork completed (IND, 30% ruling etc.)
Participate in HR projects and initiative to improve employee engagement and organizational effectiveness
Coordinate our internal Early Carees Programme (ECP) together with our external training provider
Our ideal candidate is discrete, trustworthy and personable. We are looking for someone to represent Turner & Townsend professionally at all times. Someone who is self-motivated, proactive, highly organised and able to work autonomously. Furthermore, this role requires:
Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Proven experience in an HR role (1-3 years preferred)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional level verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English
Detail-orientated, highly organised with a flexible and solution-oriented attitude
Strong aptitude for Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
32/40 hours is possible
