Job Description

Your role as KAM;
Are you ready to drive global growth in established diagnostic solutions and lead the charge in bringing cutting-edge products to market? Join Essange Reagents as our Key Account Manager (KAM) and lead international sales in our growing Protein & Immunology Reagents (P&I) business. You will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
You will be responsible for driving international sales across our growing portfolio of protein and immunology-based reagents, diagnostic products and custom OEM solutions. You’ll manage a global client portfolio and uncover new opportunities in diagnostic, clinical, and research markets. Key customers include diagnostic companies, laboratories, hospitals, academic institutions, and OEM partners.

We are looking for an experienced sales professional who thrives at the intersection of science and commerce. Experienced in managing global B2B relationships and closing OEM deals. You have a background in immunology, biochemistry, or protein sciences, gained through academic education or relevant industry experience. You have hands-on and commercial experience with immunoassay technologies, and a solid understanding of protein detection and antibody-based assays. Experience with partnership management and contracts  in a global context  is a critical element of the role.
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, proactive, and hands-on and ready to grow key accounts, lead strategic conversations, and actively contribute to the company’s commercial transition. You are confident working with both scientific and procurement stakeholders and have experience navigating complex sales cycles internationally.
The role is office based in Amsterdam, with occasional international travel as required.

What You Need to Do;
•    Drive revenue growth by expanding key accounts and forging new partnerships;
•    Act as the strategic link between Essange Reagents, international distributors, and OEM clients;
•    Translate customer needs into tailored, high-impact diagnostic solutions;
•    Lead strategic conversations that influence product positioning and commercial direction, including contract negotiations;
•    Collaborate closely with leadership during this pivotal commercial transition;
•    Develop and execute account plans to meet quarterly and annual sales targets;
•    Identify and qualify new business opportunities in research, clinical, and diagnostic markets;
•    Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM reporting to support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

What you bring:
•    Degree in Life Sciences (Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, etc.), MSc or PhD preferred;
•    5+ years of relevant experience in diagnostics, immunoassays, or protein-based assay markets;
•    Understanding of ELISA, Luminex, cytokine assays, and diagnostic development processes;
•    Familiarity with IVD regulation, CE-IVD, and ISO 13485 standards;
•    Proven track record in international B2B sales, key account management, and OEM deal-making;
•    Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English, Dutch preferred;
•    A track record of navigating complex international sales cycles;
•    Willing to travel internationally and thrive in a hybrid work environment.
