This is what you’ll do

The Delivering Deal Value (DDV) team is part of PwC’s Deals practice and we support corporate and private equity firms to identify, quantify and deliver full deal value, with greater speed, insight and confidence.

As a Manager, you have responsibility for leading and delivering in the pre- and post-deal phase to quickly assess operational value opportunities and issues. Our approach is rooted in data analytics in combination with practical experience of what works in particular sectors. Our key services are:

  • Operational due diligence – identify key opportunities and investment risks in operations
  • Carve-out due diligence - maximizing return from divestment
  • Pre-deal value creation support - identify, prioritise and quantify key upside opportunities and develop a plan to implement


Typical Operational Due Diligence and Value Creation projects start early in the deal cycle, delivering concrete operational upsides to the buyer models impacting the deal offer directly. You will work in an experienced advisory team, have frequent challenging client discussions and grow in an environment where coaching and personal development are crucial values.

In your daily work, you will be involved in deals projects with focus on:

  • Operational gaps identification with leading businesses and providing recommendations to drive value creation;
  • Development of implementation plans and identification of savings leveraging a driver-based Approach and industry benchmarking data;
  • Drive transformation initiatives with a focus on (short and long term) value realization;
  • Coaching and leading other junior/senior colleagues;
  • Client relationship at executive and operational level throughout the various phases of the project.


You’ll recognize yourself in this  

You are an experienced professional with affinity in (deals) consulting or in the area of operational performance improvement. You are ready for the next step and want to work on the cutting edge of operations and finance within a dynamic deal’s environment.

Your key characteristics:

  • You have at least 6 years relevant experience
  • You have a university degree in business administration, science, engineering or related discipline
  • You are a team player with experience in consulting and/or operational performance improvement programs, preferably in corporate M&A teams, COO support roles or specialized operation consulting
  • You have understanding of one or more core operational functions (e.g. Finance, Supply Chain, Working Capital, Procurement, Sales)
  • You are analytical and are comfortable with financial information
  • You have the ability to understand, lead and motivate people, deliver high quality advice
  • You are commercially minded and have excellent social skills
  • You have good written and spoken English skills, Dutch language skills highly appreciated
