Project Assistant
As the Project Assistant, you will be an important member of our Projects and Insights team, supporting initiatives and projects across the organisation that range from volunteer engagement to operations, research, technology and more. You thrive in an international environment, are highly collaborative, and feel comfortable working independently when needed. You will report to the Projects and Insights Manager and work closely with multiple teams across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Supporting selected projects and tasks to ensure timely delivery and alignment with team needs
- Collaborating frequently with colleagues from different departments to support their project and administrative needs
- Communicating (via email, phone, in person) with volunteers of the EAIE and other stakeholders.
- Tracking and monitoring project progress by maintaining timelines, documentation and project boards in Monday.com, ensuring tasks and deadlines are clear and up to date
- Handling data entry and maintaining project records with accuracy
- Coordinating meetings by preparing agendas, taking notes and following up on action items
- Supporting new initiatives by coordinating tasks and maintaining project documentation
- Assisting with creating project updates and progress summaries for internal reporting
- Researching and providing information on various topics depending on the project
Requirements
- Work experience of at least one to two years in a similar position
- Minimum MBO degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field
- Excellent planning, administrative
and organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience with MS Office; familiarity with project tools like Monday.com is a plus
- Ability to travel at least once per year for the EAIE Conference and Exhibition
- A valid work permit and already living in the Netherlands and prepared to travel to the office in Amsterdam

- Salary: starting full–time salary of €2.800- €3.000
gross per month, depending on education/work experience. This is a fulltime, 5 day per week (37.5 hours) role.
A contract of twelve months will be offered initially with the expectation of extending. Preferably available to start as soon as possible.

Founded in 1989, the European Association for International Education is the European centre for expertise, networking and resources in the internationalisation of higher education. We are a non-profit, member-led organisation serving individuals actively involved in the internationalisation of their institutions.
