THE OPPORTUNITY
As a regional Market Access Manager Human Pharma (HP), you will support the different MIDI Operating Units (OPUs) in adapting and implementing Global/MIDI Market Access (MA) strategies to achieve regional MA objectives. You will do this by reviewing national submission dossiers, CE-Models, best practice sharing and developing tools and techniques to enhance MA capabilities and to address specific access needs in the MIDI region.
Moreover, you will be responsible for handling of ad-hoc requests and MA maintenance activities (e.g. IPR, healthcare system changes) and for ensuring timely decision making with relevant internal stakeholders (MIDIc, local MA teams, corporate). Also, you will secure that global MA strategies and initiatives meet the needs of national, regional, and local payers in MIDI OPUs for the ICO Therapeutic Area (Inflammation, Oncology, etc.) and will provide relevant MIDI MA input to brand teams.
This position is based in Amsterdam and reports directly to the Head of Market Access & Healthcare Affairs MIDI.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the main point of contact for Market Access related topics in assigned Therapeutic Areas (TAs) and brand teams.
- Establish close working relationships with colleagues in the MIDI center (Marketing, Medical, Commercial Operations), OPUs and corporate.
- Support implementation and – if needed – development of tools and trainings for OPUs to support the implementation of the regional (MIDI) Market Access Strategy.
- Review local MIDI OPU pricing & reimbursement strategies and dossiers to ensure implementation of Global MA Strategy for the respective TAs and to optimize regional MA opportunities.
- Steer and support the approval and assessment process for local price changes including IPR impact in MIDI and Europe (in close coordination with the respective colleagues from Global Payer Strategies and the MA Head EU).
- Support local MA teams for ad-hoc request and coordinate necessary activities with relevant internal stakeholders and Corporate MA.
- Provide relevant input into global and MIDI Integrated Customer Plans (ICP).
- Active participation in relevant global meetings, e.g. Market Access Sub-team Meetings, VD Roll-out meetings etc. for respective TAs to ensure that MIDI needs are addressed, e.g. additional analyses of clinical trial data as needed for local P&R submissions, HE&OR data requirements for the region etc.
- Ensure high quality knowledge transfer into MIDI OPUs to enable OPUs MA teams to successfully implement MA strategies.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM
- Master degree (e.g. MBA, MSc) or diploma degree with major focus on Business Administration, Economics or others.
- At least 5 years of experience in strategic or operational work on Market Access / health economics / pricing and contracting for pharmaceutical products.
- Excellent understanding of MA (HEOR + Pricing) and Marketing.
- Ability to clearly understand the need of customers/payers and to work on win-win-win solutions (patients, payers, company).
- Experience in the Oncology/ Specialty Care therapeutic areas is preferred.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering value to the business.
- Previous international experience is preferred - familiar with all aspects of Market Access, preferably within the MIDI countries environment.
- Experience of working with Global MA Teams, e.g. member of Market Access Sub-Team, HOWT etc.
- Experience leading projects & drive for cross-functional success.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Proven ability to influence cross functionally.
- Strong analytical & project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
