If that excites you, how about joining our Client Management team as a Senior Director, Sales - Europe. Reporting to our EU CEO with a dotted reporting line to the Group Chief Revenue Officer, you will spearhead ClearBank’s expansion in the European Union, driving revenue growth and ensuring ultimate profitability. You will also focus on building a high-performing teams and providing exceptional leadership to achieve these goals.

The person in this position can be based in the Netherlands or in Paris, France.

Your role includes:

  • Define and execute commercial strategies aligned with the company’s vision and growth objectives.

  • Oversee sales and marketing teams to drive revenue, market share, and brand awareness.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.

  • Ensure customer-centric strategies are in place to enhance satisfaction, loyalty, and lifetime value.

  • Work closely with product, operations, and finance to align commercial goals across departments.

  • Build and lead high-performing commercial teams, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

What you’ll bring:

To excel in this role, you’ll also need:

  • Track record: previous experience of building high-performing teams within scale up environment, preferably in fintech, banking or tech sector.

  • Leadership skills: The ability to inspire and motivate geographically dispersed sales teams to perform at their very best, along with the skill to attract and hire A-grade sales talent.

  • Communication skills: Strong listening, presentation, and questioning skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for easy understanding.

  • Ability to build rapport: The ability to quickly build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels within an organization and to be at ease meeting senior C-level executives.

  • Energy and enthusiasm: High energy and enthusiasm to help disrupt the banking landscape.

  • Coachability: A willingness to learn, strive for excellence, and continually invest in improving professional skills, standards, and abilities.

  • Strong inner drive and self-motivation: The willingness to challenge oneself, step outside the comfort zone, and be naturally self-motivated and self-driven to succeed.

  • Inner resilience & robustness: Strong resilience and mental toughness to overcome rejection and setbacks that can happen in a sales role.

  • Ethics and integrity: Operating with high standards of ethics and integrity.

  • Mental agility: The ability to think on one's feet and make intelligent decisions in real-time without getting flustered.

  • Ability to perform under pressure: The capacity to remain calm and work well under pressure.

  • Ability to prioritize: The skill to work smart and ruthlessly prioritize time without getting distracted by low-value tasks.

Our hiring process and what you can expect:

Application: a member of our talent acquisition team will review your application against the key requirements for the role and let you know within two weeks whether you’re moving forward to the next stage; 

Screening: You’ll spend 30-45 minutes speaking to one of our recruiters learning more about the role and ClearBank, and we’ll get it know more about you, your experience and how your skills align with the role (this will be via phone or Teams video call). You can expect to hear back from us within seven days following this meeting (if things are taking longer than expected, we’ll let you know that too); 

First Interview: You’ll spend one hour with a member of our hiring team focusing on your skills, competencies and your ways of working at the same time we’ll give you time to ask more questions about the role, the team and learn more about the ClearBank culture. This will be via Teams.  

Second Interview: This will be a competency-based interview with one or more members of our team.

Final Stage: You will have a final meeting with the Head of Department. This will be around 45-60 minutes.
