Purpose
The team leader groups & meetings is responsible for the day to day operational management of groups & meeting business for all citizenM hotels with a focus on the US hotels.
As a team leader, you will be the main point of contact for all groups & meetings team members during the PM shift. You are responsible for supervising and motivating the groups & meetings team on a daily basis. The successful candidate therefore needs to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration with hotel operations, sales and demand. In addition, you will be responsible for target revenues, pricing negotiations, planning and implementation of sales activities and acquisition of group and meeting business.

This role will be working on PM shift, from 14:00 to 22:00
Oversees day-to-day operations: including task division and prioritization. Contributes to daily operations by working alongside Groups & Meetings Specialists and Coordinators.
Proactive Sales: Supports and stimulates a proactive sales approach while being responsible for managing at least one region as a specialist.
Team Management: Organize sales meetings, delegate responsibilities, and assist team members in achieving goals through regular reflection.
Coaching and Support: Coach team members on challenging client interactions.
Hotel Liaison: Strengthen the relationship between hotels and the sales team to support Groups and Meetings clients.
– Strategic Account Plans: Oversee Strategic Account Plans for all accounts.
– Relationship Building: Maintain strategic relationships with industry organizations (Convention & Visitors Bureaus, Chambers of Commerce, etc.).
– Rate Strategy: support the development of G&M rate strategy in conjunction with the Demand/Revenue Team.
– Tool Utilization: Ensure the team properly utilizes all systems and tools.
– Market Awareness: keep informed on real estate and hotel markets in relevant markets.
– Budgeting: provide insights to support the budgeting process for the upcoming year.
– Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with the Corporate Sales team to share leads and insights.

Location/Hours: Voorschoten Support Office / Schiphol Airport. Hybrid working is possible, not fully remote. The office should move to Leiden during Q1/Q2 2026. This is a full-time role. This role will be working on a PM shift, from 14:00 to 22:00
