The Role

The company is seeking an Account Manager to join its newly established Sales Team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales Director to implement the company’s wholesale and retail sales strategy in the Netherlands. This role involves building and nurturing relationships with independent bike retailers, with the goal of having them stock the company’s uniquely designed bikes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a list of prospective independent bike retail partners in the Netherlands, specifically in the Amsterdam area.
  • Engage with independent bike retailers to stock the company’s bikes through cold calling, email prospecting, social outreach, and physical store visits. Qualify and close sales opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at prospective partner stores. Address objections and navigate challenges confidently.
  • Manage the accounts of existing leads.
  • Consistently meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales targets.

 

Requirements

The ideal candidate:

  • Is professionally proficient in English and Dutch.
  • Possesses a can-do and will-do attitude.
  • Is driven, an excellent communicator, and a gifted relationship-builder, with the ability to build rapport easily over the phone.
  • Is a people-person with a strong interest in cycling and e-mobility.
  • Has a solid understanding of the company’s products, unique selling points (USPs), services, core market, market dynamics, and customer preferences.
  • Is dynamic, driven, and a hands-on sales associate.
