Commercial Insights Intern (PE/VC)

Marktlink Capital is a Private Equity & Venture Capital (PE & VC) Fund Manager based in the Netherlands, with headquarters in CitySide Amsterdam. We offer entrepreneurs and private investors access to the best PE & VC funds. Marktlink Capital currently has a team of over 55 professionals and manages more than EUR 2,8 billion in capital commitments. This capital comes from nearly 2,200 investors who have collectively invested in over 130 PE & VC funds. 

We’re looking for ambitious master’s students (at any stage of their studies) or bachelor’s students in the final 3–4 months of their degree to join us as Commercial Insights Intern. This 4-to-6 month, full-time internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the investment world. If we’re a mutual fit, the role could even transition into a full-time position. As a member of our team, you’ll collaborate across multiple teams (finance, reporting, sales, marketing etc.). Your responsibilities will include, among other things:

• Assist in preparing internal reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
• Contribute to the creation of quarterly reports for top-performing funds.
• Research and identify potential leads, partners, or market opportunities.
• Support business development efforts through data-driven projects.
• Help manage CRM data and assist with outreach activities.
• Conduct market research to inform positioning, messaging, and strategy.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives by gathering insights and supporting analysis.

We’re looking for someone who: 

• Is nearing the completion of a bachelor’s degree (within 3–4 months) or currently pursuing or recently graduated from a master’s program in management, analytics, entrepreneurship, data science, or a related field.
• Is available for a full-time internship (4 to 6 months), ideally 4 days a week or more.
• Has some practical exposure to commercial or business development activities (e.g. sales, partnerships, outreach).
• Demonstrates a genuine interest in the sector and its broader context.
• Communicates clearly and effectively, both in writing and in person, especially when explaining complex topics.
• Has a strong command English, both written and spoken.
• Is proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, and familiar with CRM systems.
• Is experienced with data management and analysis; coding skills (e.g., Python, SQL) are a plus.
• Is proactive, eager to learn, and motivated to take ownership of tasks.
• Enjoys working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and can adapt quickly to new challenges.
• Is based in or near Amsterdam, or willing to commute to our office.
