Corporate Paralegal

 

As a Corporate Paralegal in the People and Business Services team, you will provide essential legal and administrative support that enables efficient contract lifecycle management, maintains strong corporate governance, and ensures organizational compliance. By ensuring accuracy, structure, and accessibility of legal information, you will strengthen operational effectiveness and reduce legal and compliance risk across our ASICS Technology and ASICS Digital business.

 

How you will help us:

Based in our Hoofddorp office and reporting to our US-based Corporate Counsel, as part of the role you will:

  • Oversee the contract and legal document review process. You will work closely with the business to understand and move contracts along in the approval process, as well as draft and review legal documents with oversight from our Corporate Counsel (including SOWs, NDAs, and various consulting, talent services, and independent contractor agreements).

  • Update and maintain legal policies and templates. You will update and maintain legal templates on our legal information hub (SharePoint) to enable stakeholders to self-service and easily initiate legal processes, and will maintain and update legal policies to ensure clarity and accuracy.

  • Support our Corporate Counsel. You will support our Corporate Counsel to coordinate with outside counsel for litigation cases, as well as draft and prepare correspondence and other materials as requested.

  • Coordinate legal affairs and generate reports. Under the supervision of the Corporate Counsel, you will maintain the company’s corporate governance records for the corporation and its subsidiaries, manage and maintain business filings and licenses, and maintain records of the company’s leases. You will also generate reports for audits, finance, and internal meetings.

Does this sound like you?

  • You are an experienced Corporate Paralegal.  You have obtained your HBO-Rechten / Juridische Dienstverlening, LL.B., or equivalent legal qualification, and have supplemented it with relevant work experience as a Corporate Paralegal in a law office or in-house legal department.
  • You demonstrate a keen understanding of legal principles. You have good working knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks, including GDPR, as they relate to contract review and compliance matters and are familiar with Dutch civil and corporate law principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge when reviewing contracts and supporting corporate governance activities.
  • You have the right technical skills. You have strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and ideally you have also worked in Agiloft administration (or equivalent contract management tools) and obtained a data privacy certification (CIPP/E or CIPP/US).
  • You build strong relationships. You are able to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels of the company as well as with various third parties and outside legal counsel, establishing trust and building rapport with business units to act as a critical liaison between departments, attorneys, outside counsel, and vendors.
  • You are an effective communicator. You possess exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, are able to comfortably interact and successfully collaborating with varying levels of management as well as communicate issues to business teams.
