Must have skills:
• Hands on experience with UG-NX, Team center
• Experience in concept design, detailed design and creation of manufacturing drawings
• Strong in GDnT”
• Experience in Mechanical Design, preferably in precision components/systems
• Ability to do hand calculations for strength and stiffness
• Ability to design welded/adhesive/ fastener joints /seals / surface treatment
Desirable skills:
• Dynamic behavior of system , description of motion and fatigue
• Design of transportation and handling equipment for Hi-tech equipment with environmental and
vibration control
• Design of special purpose /high precision machine layout
• Volumetric models and accommodation of systems
• Experience in projects for Semiconductor equipment industry
• Strong understanding of the physics of the problems
• Knowledge of tribology , air bearings, Bio mechanics
• Awareness of designing for cleanroom and vacuum environments
• Awareness of relevant manufacturing processes product cost estimation
• Exposure to advanced materials like Ceramics, high-strength steel, carbon , special alloys
• Knowledge / experience with robotics/optical/laser/metrological equipment , Micro-/Nano- engineering
• Ability to perform calculations using ANSYS, MATLAB and MathCAD
Experience: 5 to 25 years of relevant experience
BE/M.Tech/Ph.D. in Mechanical sciences
