Ready to take action on climate change and make a real impact? We’re looking for a Fleet Electrification Senior Project Manager (EU) to support Smart Freight Centre’s mission to decarbonize the freight industry. If you’re passionate about sustainability and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you.
✈️ About Smart Freight Centre:
Think about the package that just arrived at your doorstep. The products on store shelves, or the goods being shipped across oceans. Logistics is everywhere, powering the world we live in. And because it’s everywhere, it’s also one of the biggest contributors to carbon emissions globally.
That’s where Smart Freight Centre (SFC) steps in. We’re tackling the carbon footprint of logistics head-on, working with businesses, governments, and key players around the globe. Our mission? To transform the logistics sector into a zero-emission industry by 2050, or hopefully even sooner. Want to help drive this change? Join us.
✏️ About the position:
Freight trucks are one of the biggest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions and local air pollution, especially in areas already impacted by environmental challenges. One of the most effective ways to cut these emissions is through electrification. That’s where this role comes in.
As FEC Senior Project Manager (EU), you’ll support Smart Freight Centre’s efforts to speed up the adoption of electric trucks by helping remove practical barriers, shaping collaborative projects, and connecting the right people to get things moving. You’ll work closely with our Fleet Electrification Coalition (FEC): a network of shippers, fleet owners, truck manufacturers, investors, and policymakers who are all working toward the same goal: 30% zero-emission truck sales by 2030, and 100% by 2040.
You’ll report to the Senior Program Manager EU and play a key role in projects that make electric trucks more accessible, visible, and scalable across Europe. It’s a great opportunity for someone who’s hands-on, well-organized, and motivated to help shape a more sustainable future for road freight.
⭐ Here’s an idea of what tasks you might be working on:
Project Management:
Lead the implementation of project plans focused on electric truck deployment in Europe
Define use cases, manage deliverables, and coordinate with team members to reach program goals
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build strong relationships with investors, fleet owners, OEMs, charging infrastructure providers, and other partners
Facilitate collaboration and encourage commitment to electric trucking solutions
Use Case and Finance Development:
Identify high-potential electric truck use cases considering operational and economic readiness
Develop tailored financial strategies using aggregated demand, pooled funds, and ownership models
Dialogue Facilitation:
Reporting and Documentation:
Produce clear documentation, investment guides, and project roadmaps
Consolidate findings and insights on market maturity and financial mechanisms
Visibility and Representation:
Represent Smart Freight Centre at meetings, events, and conferences
Help increase the visibility of the program through both digital and in-person engagements
Strategic Contribution:
