Key responsibilities:

As part of our Embedded Software team, you'll help ensure the quality of our real-time systems built on Linux and advanced technologies like Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ and CUDA. You will:

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test frameworks for embedded fiber optic sensing platforms.

  • Collaborate with embedded developers and hardware engineers to define robust test strategies and test cases.

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Docker and other DevOps tools.

  • Perform rigorous testing on Linux-based embedded systems to ensure reliability and performance.

  • Debug integration issues across software and hardware layers.

  • Write and maintain Python-based test tools and automation scripts.

  • Support build and testing processes using CMake and C++.

  • Document processes, results, and findings to ensure traceability and compliance.

Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.

  • 3+ years of experience in software QA, test automation, or embedded testing.

  • Affinity for high-tech products and hands-on problem-solving.

  • Familiarity with testing in Linux-based environments.

  • Confidence working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.

  • Willingness to work on-site in Amsterdam (this is not a remote role).

Technical Skills and Experience:

  • Python programming skills for test automation and scripting.

  • Linux, GIT, Docker and CI/CD pipelines in a DevOps environment.

  • Familiarity with CMake and C++ for the build and testing processes.

  • Unit and Module Test Frameworks.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Automation of lab equipment.

  • Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing methodologies.

  • Experience in testing optical sensing systems or similar hardware/software integrated systems.

  • Knowledge of Defence or Energy industry standards or other regulated industries.

  • CUDA, Digital Signal processing, Petalinux/Yocto.

You'll be working with clients in the defence and security sectors, obtaining a Certificate of No Objection issued by the AIVD (Dutch General Intelligence and Security Service) is mandatory.
