Senior Manager Finance

The Finance department is a supporting service department within IBFD, the leading international provider of cross-border tax expertise. Based on our knowledge of financial processes and systems, we provide timely, complete, reliable, and compliant financial services. These services range from financial administration to compliance with laws and regulations, and from planning and reporting to support and advice.

IBFD is now looking for a Senior Manager Finance for the Finance Department, who will play a crucial role in the success of the organization.

In this role you will report to the CEO.

Responsibilities 

• Overseeing all financial activities, such as accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, consolidation, and financial reporting (Dutch GAAP). You and your team ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports. You present these to the Executive Board and the Board of Trustees.
• Identifying and managing risks by detecting and analysing trends, providing advice, and supporting senior management in this.
• Ensuring compliance with and application of all relevant laws and regulations, both in the Netherlands and abroad.
• Managing and coaching the employees of your department and contributing to their personal development.
• Professionalizing the organization by continuously analysing processes within and outside the department and initiating and implementing innovations and optimizations.
• Providing solicited and unsolicited advice on a wide range of issues, with a focus on practical application. You do not limit yourself to your role as Finance Manager but add value wherever possible.
• Promoting culture in line with IBFD values: fostering a culture of respect, collaboration and inclusiveness.

Work environment

The team is led from the modern headquarters in Amsterdam and consists of 7 people. Additionally, you oversee proper administration by the foreign branches in the USA, Malaysia, and China. IBFD employs approximately 250 colleagues with over 40 different nationalities.

Requirements

• University-level work and thinking ability through education and work experience, with at least 7 years of relevant international work experience in a leadership position.
• A natural leader who can motivate others, is communicatively strong, and has persuasive power. You can make decisions independently and are solution-oriented, with a positive and pragmatic attitude.
• Change-oriented and continuously seeking improvements.
• Strong in analytical, administrative, and numerical skills. You love structure and organization and strictly monitor deadlines.
• Affinity and experience with ERP (preferably Dynamics 365FO) and other automated systems. You have a good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Eager to learn and interested in growing within an international environment.

Salary and fringe benefits

We offer you a fulltime (37 hrs) gross monthly salary between €8,200 and €9,200 depending on background and relevant work experience, completed by an attractive package of fringe benefits:
